Prof. Qian Tao, Ph.D., is a doctoral supervisor and Director of the Division of Medical Psychology. I was selected for the Guangdong Special Support Program for Young Top Talents. My research focuses on the neural mechanisms and rehabilitation of emotional and cognitive disorders.   

Main research directions :

Neural circuit mechanisms underlying emotional disorders (e.g., depression, addiction, and stress-related disorders)

Cognitive dysfunction and neurorehabilitation strategies

Non-invasive neuromodulation approaches (e.g., light therapy) targeting brain circuits

Multisensory integration and its role in behavioral and psychiatric regulation

Translational neuroscience integrating animal models and clinical interventions

Representative academic achievements：

I have led three projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and one project under the National Key R&D Program of China. I have also participated as a core member in major national initiatives, including the “Science and Technology Innovation 2030 – Brain Science and Brain-Inspired Intelligence” program and key provincial R&D projects in Guangdong. I have published over 40 SCI-indexed papers as first or corresponding author in leading international journals, including Nature Neuroscience, Neuron, and Advanced Science.
