Ren Bingyu, lecturer in the Department of Anatomy. Earned a Ph.D. in Neurobiology from Sun Yat-sen University in 2015. Completed a joint postdoctoral fellowship at the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the High-Tech Workstation at Shenzhen University (2015–2019). Joined the faculty at Jinan University in November 2023.
Main research directions :
1. Stress-related neuroplasticity: Investigating maladaptive neuronal and synaptic changes in the prefrontal cortex underlying stress-induced behavioral disorders.
2. Selenoproteins in neurodegenerative diseases: Elucidating the functional roles and molecular mechanisms of selenoproteins in Tau homeostasis, protein folding, and myelination in conditions such as Alzheimer's disease.
